Great stay!

Booked our rooms here, and Jenny was so wonderful. She met us at and provided so much information regarding the area, tours, etc. She also provides breakfast daily which you can purchase at a cost. You just need to let her know one day in advance. She also helped us book out van ride to El Nido, and made sure we day on the front so we don't get car sick. Glad she did because the others who sat in the same van in the back got really bad car sickness. The lodging was very homey and clean. It was close you the van stop and the beach area to get on the tours as well. She also provides treats as a welcome and always has hot tea ready. We booked our island tour with her as well since her husband died the island tours. Because it was low season, we had the tour all to ourselves which made it like a private tour. It was great! Would recommend booking here. …

Great place

My friend booked this and I wasn't disappointed at all, the owner Jenny met us gave us local information, the room I had was a fan room which was great the bathroom clean the shower was good, we did have a problem with water but that was a whole village issue not an accommodation one. Now how many small pensions can you say offer free coffee all day with biscuits just what you need first thing. We booked a trip through Jenny and was good that we had the whole boat to ourselves bonus. I would give 6stars but I can't but would recommend this place in the centre right near the beach.

I wish I could give it 6 stars!

We booked this online, because the price was great and the rooms looked clean. The rooms are just like the pictures online (maybe a bit bigger actually, as there was a large desk that I wasn't expecting with a nice mirror), and the hammock area is relaxing and comfortable with a great little garden and hot coffee and tea available all day. It's next to the beach. Literally a 30 second walk; it's across the street from the entrances to the beach resorts. What we were so pleasantly surprised by was the amazing owner, Jhenny. From the time we arrived, we felt like we were part of the family. She is so warm and caring and excited to help with anything. She arranged day tours and scooter rentals, and even took us to play with baby rabbits (big highlight for my gf). Her husband runs a tour boat and he was amazing. Great food, great island stops, and we were always away from the crowds. Amazing food too (some of the best we had in Palawan), all prepared fresh on a beautiful beach. At the end of our stay we were legitimately sad to leave. The only negative things to note are about Port Barton in general, not just yellow hauz. First off, there are lots of stray dogs and cats, and they aren't harmful at all, but they're loud at night. Bring ear plugs. You'll need them at any hotel in PB. The only other thing I can say is that the cold water is super cold. PB gets it's tap water from the mountains, so it's cleaner than El Nido or other places, but also much colder. Not a big deal but plan on showering during the day before it cools down at night. Still, it's nice clean mountain water. If you stay in PB, you couldn't pick a better place to be. Hope we can come back and see Jhenny again! …
