Worth visiting!

Make sure to pay a visit and dine in at Kusina Luntian when in Baler! This is one of the most popular eateries in Baler due to its unique concept. Once you dine in, it feels like home because you will be eating like what typical Filipinos do during mealtime. Filipinos are known for the love of eating with bare hands or to have boodle fight. Eat like a true Filipino at Kusina Luntian!

Delicious Pako and Local Fare

I'm vegetarian and I was so happy to find this humble place serving local fern salad and salted duck eggs with rice. A must-visit in Baler!

Favorite food in Baler

First order of the business: lunch at Kusina Luntian. Filled ourselves with the popular Pako Salad, a combination of fresh ferns tossed in local vinaigrette, tomatoes, and salted egg. The other dishes were also garnished with Pako stems. We got liempo and tapa matched with their original Calamansi Juice on the side. The service is fast and payment is settled upon order. Utensils are not provided so enjoy the meals served in coconut shells and banana leaf with bare hands. This restaurant recently launched a branch in Quezon City.

Kusina Luntian brings me back to memories of my childhood wherein my lola usually cooks for us and me and my cousins will eat on banana leaves with no spoon and fork. The food is supreme and their pricing is just right. What's more amazing is that you can see that they provide employment for the locals as well, which means you're having a great food experience while helping the people of Baler. Must Tries: Liempo, Dinangdang na Hita ng Manok, Pako Salad and their Cold Turmeric Tea.

Perfect place for traditional Filipino-style dining

Food was delicious (which is a sentiment of almost everyone who’ve been here). The style of eating with your hands on a banana leave while seated cross-legged on the floor is a great reminder of our roots for us Pinoys. I hope Kusina Luntian maintains the authenticity of the place despite the growth of incoming tourists in the coming years. Food I’ve tried: 1. Liempo 2. Pako Salad 3. Dinangdangan na manok Plus we ordered lambanog AKA Banayad Whiskey lol give it a go if you’re into local alcohol
